Worship for May 20th and the week ahead

Sung Mass with Holy Baptism will be celebrated at 11:00 on Sunday. Thank you to Frances, Moncia and Mother Alice for cleaning the Church and Undercroft in readiness. Two of our younger members will also be celebrating their birthdays – hopefully with cake! All welcome. At 14:00, All Souls’ and St. Aidan’s members of the new Team Parish will set off in cars to Beat the Bounds of the parish. Mass will be said in the Lady Chapel on Monday at 19:30 and on Wednesday at 10:00. All worshippers welcome.

Beating the Bounds

Members of the new Leeds: All Souls and St. Aidan Team parish will beat the new parish bounds on Sunday May 20th. Beginning at All Souls’ Church at 2pm, we will travel in cars to key points in the All Souls’ District, then to key points in the St. Aidan’s District, finishing with tea at St. Aidan’s. All welcome.

Leeds Half Marathon

Worship week beginning May 6th

Sung Mass on Sunday at 11:00, Said Mass on Wednesday at 10:00. All welcome.

Mass on Sunday 22nd

Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 – all welcome. The service will be followed by the Annual Parochial Church Meeting, chaired by Canon Taylor.

Treasures Revealed 2012

All Souls’ church will be open On Saturday April 28th, Sunday 29th, Wednesday May 2nd, Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th, in all cases from 10:00 – 12:00 and 14:00-16:00. On Saturday 28th – an organ recital at 19:30. On Saturday 5th – ‘Mirie it is’ Concert by Leeds Guild of Singers and All Souls’ Feast (£8/£3 at the door). On both Sundays – open for worship only – but worship open to all.

Elections at the AGM

At the District AGM on April 15th, Shirley Greene, Vivienne Stuart and Luke Walwyn were elected to serve on the DCC for 3 years. Michael Campbell and Monica Richardson Sowe were chosen by the meeting as churchwardens for the District: voting for the churchwardens will take place next week at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (April 22nd, about Noon).

April 15th ~ Mass and Meeting

After the 11:00 Mass on Sunday, there will be the All Souls’ AGM. Everyone is welcome to both Mass and Meeting but only those on the All Souls’ District Electoral Roll will be eligble to vote at the AGM. Shortened Mass (slightly), short Meeting – don’t worry!

Alleluia!

Alleluia! Christ is risen! The liturgy of the Light and the first Mass of Easter were celebrated at All Souls’ on Holy Saturday Evening. Worship continues on Sunday at 11:00 – all welcome. He is risen indeed! Alleluia!

Holy Week 2012

As the holiest week of the Church’s year begins, everyone is welcome to all services: Palm Sunday (see below) at 11:00. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in Holy Week at Noon: Noon Prayers. Maundy Thursday at 7:30pm: Agape and Mass (bring a little food to share). Good Friday at Noon: 3 Hours at the foot of the Cross (Private meditation and prayer at Noon; Stations (full) of the Cross at 1pm; Veneration of the Cross at 2pm). The new cross, made by James Senior, will be blessed at this service. Holy Saturday at 6pm: Service of Light and the first Mass of Easter.
