Emily Ford’s Font Panels

Visitors to the “Edward Carpenter’s Leeds” day at the university on Saturday September 4th are welcome to visit the Church between 09:00 and 10:00 and see the font canopy panels Emily Ford painted as a thanksgiving for her own baptism in 1890, at the age of 39. There will be an Ethiopian Orthodox Mass in progress – but visitors are still welcome. Please use the South Door (on Blackman Lane) and turn sharp left immediately through the door. Feel free to take a leaflet. If anyone knows why Ms Ford converted from Quakerism to Anglicanism – please let Rev’d Alice know!

No Monday Mass

Sung Mass on Sunday

Sung Mass for the Feast of St. Aidan will be celebrated at 11:00. All welcome.

Evening Mass on Monday

Mother Alice will celebrate the Mass on Monday August 23rd at 7:30pm. All welcome.

Please note: There will be no service next week, Bank Holiday Monday.

Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary

A sung Mass will be celebrated by Mother Alice on Sunday August 15th at 11:00. All welcome. There will be a retiring collection in aid of the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Pakistan appeal.

Wednesday Morning Mass

Mass will be said in the Lady Chapel at 10:00. All welcome.

Baptism and Confirmation 2010 – photos!

On July 11th Bishop John led a service of baptism and confirmation. 2 young people were confirmed; 3 young people were baptized AND confirmed; 2 adults were baptized and confirmed. Anthems were sung by the All Souls’ Singers, by the Church Lads’ and Church Girls’ Brigade, and by the Music Group of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. After the service an All Souls’ Feast was held: members of the congregation brought food from their own cultures for all to share. Barbadian, English, Ethiopian, Kittitian, Nevisian and Scottish treats were enjoyed.allsouls1allsouls4allsouls4 (2)

Sunday Sung Mass at 11:00

A warm welcome to the Sunday mass on the 4th Sunday after Trinity. Children’s talk; refreshments after the service. Members of the congregation will be giving thanks for Ghana’s win and/or praying for England’s afternoon match, according to nationality!
