Today’s thaw looks pretty but experience indicates that it will have turned to treacherously frozen slush by tomorrow night. Monday evening’s Mass is cancelled. Stay safe, stay warm and “… when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you”. Happy Birthday to us! All Souls’ [Hook Memorial] Church celebrates its 132nd birthday on January 29th with a BCP Mass at the High Altar and an All Souls’ (bring and share) Feast! Mass begins at 11:00, and everyone is Very Welcome!

Heritage Open Days at All Souls’ (Hook Memorial) Church 8 – 11 September 2011

All Souls’ (Hook Memorial) church will be open to visitors on Thursday: 18:30 – 20:00; Friday: 10:00 – Noon & 14:00 – 16:00; Saturday: 10:00 – 13:00; Sunday: 10:00 – Noon & 14:00 – 16:00. On the Sunday, an Anglican Mass will take place from 11:00 – Noon; an Ethiopian Orthodox service of the Word will take place from 14:00 – 16:00 – visitors are very welcome during service times.
